Based on the ER20 architecture, our new 1/8" and 1/4" PC collet set brings spindle level precision and balance to consumer and commercial grade Porter-Cable routers. Reduced Total Indicated Runout (TIR), automatic collet extraction, more reliable tool retention, and improved balance allow Porter-Cable routers to be used with carbide microtools as small as 0.0156" dia. In other words, you can finally use a Porter-Cable to cut precision inlay for musical instruments, pool cues, and fine furniture.

Two grades of collets are available. PG (Precision Grade) collets have TIR < 0.0004". UP (Ultra-Precision grade) collets have TIR < 0.0002". This compares to measured TIR > 0.005" with original Porter-Cable collets. Oh, by the way. Our new 1/8" collets means that you can throw away that 3rd party collet adapter (that never worked anyway. OOOOOPPS! Did I say that out loud?). The 1/4" collet reduces tip wobble, allowing you to use your existing deep-reach router bits for deep 3D carving and profiling.
All PC nuts have TIR < 0.0004" and are balanced to G2.5 at 24,000 RPM. Better balance and reduced runout translate to cleaner cuts, longer bit life and less wear and tear on the router bearings.
Compatible with Porter-Cable 690, 690LR, 9690LR, 691, 693, 890, 891, 892, 893, 7518, 7519, 7536, 7537, 7538, 7539 routers
