What type of work will you be doing with MC? That will sum up what level and what options you will require.
Then you can contact your local MC Dealer and set up a demo. They will visit you and show you first hand how MC will benefit your goals.
I have not heard any real complaints that MC can't do something, but that depends on what level you buy. Obviously level 1 won't be able to do 3D mold work, but it will handle 2 1/2 Axis which includes 4 axis indexing. That bit of info came from cadcam that I was amazed with. Cadcam, Mike Mattera, and Reked are MC users with a vast background.
After you come up with what you want to do with the software they can shed a lot of light on your needs.
