This exactley my requirement, taking .stl files and producing the g code. I get a.n.other to do the drawing bit (in p engineer as it happens) and outputs a file for me (I have not tried to do a .dxf as a 2d entity). I have not yet fully tried freemill but so far it looks ok except there is no roughing stage and I haven't yet actually cut anything.....but it looks like I will need something a little more sophisticated but the price is a factor this being a hobby type thing. |
