Are you entering the stock size for X?
The x.xxxx number should change once you hit "WR".
Perhaps it's the tool setter? Have you tried to do it completely manually without the setter? (Touching the tool directly to the stock using a piece of paper as a shim?)
You mentioned that you were only having problems with X, and that you had Z covered. Since you only have to touch off and use "0" for the Z number, it shouldn't be a issue. With X, you'll have to enter the stock size, and I suppose the tool setter dimensions as well in order for the system to calculate a correct offset.
I'm still trying to figure out how to correctly offset a drill bit, but as far as regular tools, it's worked out pretty good without a setter. I'm currently working with some 0.750 round, so it's straight forward enough just to enter X.750 and "WR" after touching off.
Again, I hope you get that thing figured out, it's bound to be a simple fix, but those tend to be the most elusive! |
