DareBee,
I have used a couple of Tree CNC mills with dynapath control. I am not familiar with the mechanics of the machine you are looking at, but I do know that the ones I have are quite well built. Also, there is a tool and die shop across the street from me and they have a couple just like what you are talking about. They have had them for years, and never seem to have problems. The dynapath control is quit simple, it reads G code, and varies from others in some ways, but once ya get it down ya got it. No big deal. The ones I've used had some different features like for tapping, you would set the feed to the threads per inch. Ex. (1/2-20 tap would have a feed of F20) and for metric (M10X1.5 would be F-1.5) always had to put a negative infront of the pitch with the metric taps. Another thing that is quite different, is there is no MDI mode. If you want to start the spindle and things like that you go to the program and type N. (N decimal point) and it gives you a blank line where you can do all the things like you would normally do in MDI mode on other machines. Kind of some goofy stuff, but once you get used to it its a piece of cake. Let me know if I can help with anything, I'll be happy to do so.
