New scanner coming Tuesday

I have taken the plunge and purchased a Nextengine. I will have it Tuesday. I also ordered a CPU to run it. The CPU is a 2.4 GHZ duel core, and will come with 4 GB of DDR2 Ram.

I will be posting scanned models if people are still interested.

This is a scan from a 4.5" tall toy soldier.

I have exported it as a stl file, to open in rhino.

It should be noted that this is my second scan. The hardware (scanner) appears readily able to scan anything, I have more to learn about integrating the meshes into one mesh. I imagine that within a week or two, I will have better results.

I am having trouble uploading the 6 MB zip file (STL file, compressed). I will email it if someone will post it for me...

use WINZIP and convert it to a *.zip file then upload it with the name_Type of file.ZIp ie soldier_Stl.zip (this way all will se if it needs to be converted ETC...)

How many points did you scan into the cloud and what resolution??

The upload keeps failing I think it is to do with the forum I would suggest you contact the forum administrator.
