Default Success with connecting Roland Picza to Notebook!!

Surprisingly I did get my Dell notebook, (7 years old), to work being set-up with my Roland Picza 30 Scanner. I failed initially, because I was attempting to connect the 9 pin serial cable to a 15 pin what I thought was serial, when in fact it is called RGA. What I did was to purchase a USB to RS 232 serial cable and after installing the driver which was supplied with the cable, it works just fine. So the key is USB to serial adaptor, connecting to the cable supplied with the scanner.
    Hope this helps someone.
