Connecting Roland Picza 3-D Scanner to Laptop Computer
This is a crazy question, I am sure.
I have a Roland Picza 3-D Scanner connected to my desktop computer through 9-pin serial cables that works just fine.
Because of the time that some scans take, I would like to connect the scanner to my Dell Notebook to free up my desktop.
My Desk top serial is nine-pin, and my laptop serial is 15 pin. Is it feasible to connect my scanner to the laptop by way of a
9 pin to 15 pin serial adaptor?

I don't have much choice. I was trying to save the shipping wait time , in hoping that someone here had already been down that road, or knew the principle involved in converting port connections.
