Yeah, the sidemount changer is out for garage installations. They can't easily remove it to get the machine under the door. And it adds quite a bit to the cost of the machine.
I wanted the SM changer but I guess there are enough trade-offs between the two designs that I think it was a draw (oversize tools, heavy tools, etc).
