I did have a chance to talk with Onecnc a bit today. They are still working hard on the new patch, he didn't elaborate in detail. It sounds like more exciting advancements.
I did manage to get an enthusiastic reponse from Mike to an idea I had today, while I was machining some stringy plastics: Why not incorporate an option for "peck-plunging" to assist in chip break? There are many times when I would have to predrill a starter hole to get chip control with a G83 cycle. However, going deep in such a starter hole leads to problems of its own with getting the chips out. But, if we can get a peck plunging option for use in any type of roughing operation, well, wouldn't that be near heavenly?

The peck chips would always throw well from a shallow plunge.
I think when Mike gets enthused about something, things happen!
