There are 2 answers to your question and neither are inexpensive. Well sort of...
#1: As stated by Torchhead, a dedicated PC is you best bet. I'm sure you could yard sale a decent PC just for your CNC project. Our thrift stores here always have some sort of computers for $50+ and up. Or ebay and older 1GHZ system.
#2: Docking Station: This will turn your Laptop into a PC with room for LPT ports and more. You MAY be able to pick one up on ebay depending on the brand. If you have to buy new, you will pay out the nose.
I'd go with option 1.
