If a subspindle is set up off to the side, you don't actually lose any table travel, just available table directly under the spindle. The table still moves the same amount. Center a tooling plate or similar under the spindle to gain all that area back, in other words offset the plate to hang a few inches over the free end of the table if it is a problem. |
