Hi All
Hope this in the right space.....
I'm converting a Okuma LS10 to use Mach3.
I'm set and ready to go, accept spindle decoding. On my Okuma there is a decent 1024 encoder (the 12 V ones). I read that I only should use the C, and disregard the A & B channels?
I would also like to ask I'm planning to use Mastercam X for my G-code generation, which have all the canned cycles. I don't have a variable spindle speed (for now!!!!), but 12 speeds selected via a gearbox. Question if I choose 220 rpm e.g. would Mach itself control the z and x axes speed and position, I hope and reckon so, but need to ask to make sure.?
Last question, is left hand thread a mission? Can't really find anything on LH in MCX nor Macj3, so I think I'm just stupid, I know you can reverse direction and play with the Z axes starts and finish, but is that the right way or should I say the left way.
Looking forward to your replies and thanks for taking the time to reply.
Regards
