JP - I would make it out of billet (not cast) for a 1-off.
I am probably on the low side for the one with the rotary.
Re: the off-the-shelf price.
- $80 ot to cover my admin costs to order material, issue POs & create an invoice. That leaves me about 10 minutes to design and build the cheap unit.
Creating a design that is worthy of my standards and then making manufacturing prints is half the cost.
I also didn't allow for any "incidentals" or warranty in my pricing.
