the marking seems to be a pich mark from the clamp and pickup along the die ,not slipping ,scratches would be 90 degrees to what you have looks like the tube is resting with some wieght on the die master bar and clamp prior to clamping ,I'm assuming thats the bottom in the diagram iether set the distance the clamp opens to the minimum or hold the tube up |
