One piece of advise when probing, if you have a probe loaded, it should only be moved to peliminary position by what Renishaw refer to as a protected move, which is essentially an anti-collision move.
IOW you may program a G0 that could cause the probe to collide with a part or jig etc.
The protected move is usually a macro that has the G31 in it.
If no collision occurs, then it arrives at the desired position, otherwise it will stop before any damage.
There should be a macro that is labeled accordingly.
