I have been cutting out inlay pieces and applying a surface profile with enroute. You draw the pieces and then cut and copy each individual piece. On layer one do a 2D toolpath and on layer 2 create and toolpath the reliefs. Cut layer 2 first and layer 1 second to make thing easier to hold. The software is terrible for drawing so I use Autocad for the basic drawing and parting of individual pieces. Not a cheap solution since Autocad runs $4000.00 and Enroute is $7000 or so. Enroute can also have problems with polyline ellipses and other geometry imported as a DXF. |
