The OEM tool post/compound is quite different from the setup on a regular lathe. You may or may not like it. Have you looked at the photos on the shoptask site?
If you are looking for a quick change post you'll probably need to retrofit a compound from a different lathe to mount the whole thing to the table. They can be hard to find.
I've been thinking about going this route but haven't been able to find a good compound. If anyone else has suggestions for mounting a QCTP to the shoptask let us know. |
