i was looking around for thermocouple devices and came across my favorite interface site on the net, phidgets.com (not a plug i just love that place) anyway they have high speed encoder interfaces now, i was thinking for $160 plus encoders you could have a nice pc dro system setup

looks like it might be a very nice solution for some of us. anyway i'm not sure i'm going to do a dro like this yet but it is an option i thought of and thought i'd share
