I just got a set with my new machine a week ago. Even though it was not the same as the picture, it was fine. I believe the collet range is from 1/8 to 5/8 but I will have to double check on that. As for the collet style it was like a TG but, I am not for sure if it is a direct knock off or not. I'm my opinion, it was a good deal for the price. If you have to have a ER style collet, look on
Ebay there is a guy that has some seemingly reasonable deals on collet sets and a R8 tool holder. One other note I have ran a lot TG and ER in the past and in my opinion they are both way more than ample for the X3, but I would suggest staying away from the double angle collets unless you are using them for drilling. |
