OK I admit You are absolutly right in your figuring. I has having a brain cramp. Very easy for me to do! I did'nt really give it any thought becouse I used a .INI file I got that some one already made for the xylotex board. This has been a good learning experience for me too!
to get your steps per second try this.
25.4 x 50800 / 60 = 21505 steps per second..

This is my set up in turbocnc.( i guess the software figure steps per second)
Axis #1 1/8 step 200 steps/rev
200 * 8 = 1600/step/rev
1/4-20 leadscrew = .050 / rev
.050/1600 = .00003125/step (this is the number i have setup in turbocnc)
