The radius actually goes down away from the carb, and the top of the spacer will be unradiused holes that match the carb exactly,so instead of having the straight bores of the carb flowing into an open area of the intake, this spacer smoothes the flow out.
I am making the spacers for a local racing team, they are buying a similar spacer now, it adds about 15hp to the particular engine combo. It goes under a Holley Dominator carb,they want to try slightly different styles and materials out.
So I have to get good enough at making these types of shapes to make several different spacers to fit different carb and manifolds they are using. |
