Not sure as it has been along time since I used Bobcob, but If I remember right a ".cnc" file is not an ASCII file. It is a file formate for internal use by Bobcob.
So you need to save the file as a ".Tap", which saves it as an ASCII format.
Again been a long time but I think you can open the file up in Bc and then use "save as" and select .tap as the type. This is on the cam side.
