No matter where you start in a pocket the 1st path is going to be a full diameter cut, just the nature of the beast. The thing about staring in the middle is that you get the shortest possible path of full diameter cutting. You could try ramping in z to help with this somewhat. If you are frame milling then just draw enough toolpaths outside so that you lead into it gradually. |
