It would be nice motor but unless you have the controller working it would cost big $$ to get going, I have a gear head 10 speed lathe that is 12" swing over the bed and it has a 4hp motor which is lots, But if you only have the one ratio then you will probabally need at least 3hp.
If you go with a VFD off of single phase then you can probabally feed the rest from single phase hopefully. It depends on what the servo amp types are.
