PS, Did some reading on the hitachi inverters recommended by Ajax- Really excited that I can use a small inverter which will only take 220/1 instead of 220/3. That means I could get rid of that really really annoying and noisey rotary converter.
Any reason you have it locked @ 3000 rpm on the vari drive? Can you get the spindle speed up over 3000 or is that your max? I use the full 4200 ALL the time...
This is definantly on the "must get" list, but a tapping head is first, one of my current products means I end up tapping hundreds and hundreds of holes... Been doing them by hand- not much fun. |
