We were definitely planning on using a belt reduction but haven't got as far as the ratio so I will keep the 3:1 in mind.
How are your motors slaved, in the hardware or software?
Also, we were thinking of making the bed slightly bigger than 4x8 so a full sheet has a 3" border around it. Do you think this is nessesary?
