I am in the beginning stages of building a 30" x 60" all aluminum gantry router to be used for wood and aluminum.
My original plans were to use steppers and Gecko's, but as I follow several of the projects it seems that servos are the way to go.
I have 5/8" 4 start ball screws with anti- backlash nuts. The motors are going to be connected to the screw via timming belt, So there is some room to adjust the ratio. I looking for speeds around 80-120 ipm with good resolution.
I found these motors and looking for some help. I am totally lost on the some of the labeling.
