That's where I got my information from on the capacities and the reason that I thought the 1.3" from HF sounded low.

And yes, LMS provided plenty of info on their 4" chucks. Prices were a little higher on the 4" 3-jaw than HF's and I was really interested in the self-centering 4" 4-jaw that HF has. I was wanting to make sure either of these chucks from HF would meet my requirements before I purchased one and hoped that someone who already had one could check. Thanks for any information that you or anyone else can provide on their actual capacity.
