Sorry about the delay guys, wms & M@T, but while the machine has been down I got quite a backlog of jobs.
BTW I tried the things suggested by both of you, with no joy!
various error messages etc.
Anyway, to let you know, the problem was like this...
A few weeks ago unknown to me (I was on holiday), a similar problem occurred, and the boss had to call "Sweden" he talked to their "Tech guy there" and he suggested a few things, basically the 'Y' axis and the 'V' axis had became desynchronised,
which gives all sorts of errors. Anyway after a few hours on the phone 'trying various parameter mods' The problem appeared to be fixed.
When I came back to work, this problem occurred again (as you know), after talking to their "tech guy" again, he suggested various parameter mods, all to no avail. So after lengthy phone calls, and much investigation at their end, they decided to send an engineer down to us (He was already in the country, installing another machine).
To cut a long story short, the key at the end of the 'Y' leadscrew had fallen out,there was a washer acting as a lock, but the retaining screw had fallen out (ooops! they forgot the loctite)
Anyway this appeared to be our problem.
