I first saw the smithy at NAMES a couple of years ago. It was in proto type stage but looking good. It might have been a good value at the price they where throwing around then. Now I'd have say it would be expensive. If you are going to lay out that much cash you might as well look at the more professional hardware avialable out there.
That being said there are some very nice things to be said abotu the mill including some use of linear ball ways, US electronics and such. I also believe that they are using a variant of EMC, which in my opinion is a good thing to have on a low cost mill where support may be lacking. It is just a matter of when that much of my money is involved I'd like to study all the players in the field.
