Did you buy the Bridgeport?
I've been trying to add a 4th axis to mine, and have discovered that Hardinge doesn't know jack about these things, but there are a number of independent people out there who are pretty good.
If I had it to do over again, I'd probably get a Haas (they are 20 minutes from my shop), but I sure can't fault the performance of the Bridgeport.
