Lets say you get it to create an nci file....what I want to do is verify a nc file created in another program, or at least run it via "backplot". Can this be done in this way?

Until I can check it out, you can use EZ DNC. It's a crippleware backplotter/file transfer proggie. It doesn't save or anything, but the backplotter works pretty well. EZDNC
