I agree, the one to get is the civilianized military vehicle. I don't really understand what the attraction is of the h2 and h3 -- they are ugly for no good reason. Living near a college, all the companies used to drive in to town in decked out hummers, and I always thought they were really cool, even though they are too big to park anywhere.
The funny thing about the picture you linked is that the guy giving the finger is driving a large vehicle himself, at least judging from the angle relative to the other vehicles. Maybe he has a reason to be driving a truck everywhere, but most people I know might as well be in a ford focus for all they use their truck's capabilities. And his gallon of gas is just as burned up as the guy in the hummer's is. People's attitude towards other vehicles tends to be projected on the other drivers. If you assume Hummer owners are jerks, you'll pretty much find out that's true. Same thing for Prius owners, if you think we are the most wonderful people, you'll find out that's pretty much true.
I just picked up my new Prius today, saving fuel so all those Hummer owners can have some. I'm not the kind of person to flip gas hogs off, just hope they return the favor later when I can afford gas and they can't. |
