Time permitting, I am trying to get up to speed with some Pic Microchip projects I have on the back-burner, one of them now on the front burner is the requirement to send some digital data, switch status and incremental encoder output ( slow rate 100p/sec max), no analogue, by remote transmission.
I am toying with using a Pic and off the shelf radio transmitter and reciever.
20ft range. Transmit serially? Although I am thinking that if I use standard serial protocol, I may have to record and update the encoder before transmission.
Before I get carried away, I wondered if anyone has any thoughts/experience or can think of any downside before I launch into something.
Or any components that would fit the bill.
Non-PC based BTW.
