In the past I have used Tebis, Pro Man, UG and Cimitron. Of them all Pro Man would rank last with ug or Tebis on top.
This was for 3D applications. Mold and Die. If you need to do true HSM 600ipm+ then all the lower end applications (masterCAM, SurfCAM, GibbsCAM etc...) would not be a choice of mine.
To that list you can also add Work NC and Powermill. Both have a very good range of HSM options.
A good thing to do if you are serious about HSM is to add VersCut with all the optimizers. These work FAR better than anything that the cam programs can do and you can optimize output from all cam softwares. |
