I'm no engine ear, but I know that those engines are very VERY stout. They'll run stuff thru there you wouldn't believe and still run with barely a hickup. They're kind of redundant in nature so a bit of damage won't make it inoperable. You'd have to almost completely destroy 50% or more of the turbine to kill it.
I have a video clip of a guy getting sucked THRU a jet engine on an aircraft carrier, and got spit out the back side almost scratch free. Amazing the way it just sucked him in and spit him out.
