Do we have a "Rotating Parts Engineer" here?
I wonder if hailstones like that damage the engines, or if it is just like throwing ice cubes in a blender. I would think vanes and blades are all shot. But on the other hand, the compressor will do a good job of grinding up just about anything that enters I would think.
Birds get swallowed up with no ill effects.
