I have been reading about power supplies here, and most replies about voltages vary greatly.
These
are the motors I have. They are Vexta PK 268-02A 2 phase 4.5 volt, 2 amp/phase. My questions are
1) Would my power supply need 4 amps per motor * 3 motors = 12 amps total?
2) What voltage should it be (what would be better) 24 v, 36v, or 48v?
I haven't decided on drivers yet. I was thinking about a xylotex but I will be limited to 35v (24v supply?) or gecko's, but they are more costly.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I want to try to get the best performance that I can the first time around so I dont have too much equipment on the bench, calling me late at night, telling me to build another machine. It's those voices that really get to me!
Thanks
