Gentlemen,
I think there is some confusion about the need for the braking resistor. The breaking resistor I am talking about has nothing to do with the brake installed in the Sanyo motors. The breaking resistor I am talking about obsorbs the BEMF in the motor circuit when the motor is stopping. Download and read the motor and drive matching document located on the Rutex.com web site under products, R2000 series. It is very informative and helpful whether you use GEcko's or Rutex boards. It will help you size motors and drives for your projects.
