You can make your own cables. Just buy some RS232 cabling and attatch the 9 and/or 25 pin connectors. The manual has the wiring diagram. |
Do you know where I can buy some cable? We bought some from radio shack, but it isin't long enough to properly hide away, and keep out of foot traffic.
Keep in mind, the longer the cable to the machine, the more chance for trasmit errors and interfearance. A slowdown in trasnfer rate will help, as will properly shielded cables. |
Gotcha. The cable we have now is sheilded and works good, we need just about another 10-15' longer.
How are you trasnferring files to the VF7? |
The VF7 is much newer, '99 I believe. It has a disk drive that we use.
