Hi guys , im new to CNC ,and i have a question. Do i need special hardware to use g code in my machine ?? can i compile g code and install it on my PIC?? what do i need exactly to use G code in my machine??? Thanks for all the help in advance.

You should not need special hardware in your machine. G-code is a text file that can be written in a text editor on a computer and saved as a dot T file or dot NC file, (ie: O123.T.) You need an RS232 output and a cord and a serial port program to send the program to the machine. CNC Code Shooter does all of this and you can download a free trial at: cnccodeshooter.com.
