I just finished researching my newly acquired used Bridgeport series 1 mill. After noticing that I could not get the mill to slow down even on the lowest belt, I called an expert and sent him a picture of the motor. His first reaction was "WOW" you have a very rare motor. The standard motor is supposed to be 1800 rpm and your motor shows 1 1/2 horse "3600 rpm"! There are some people out there that would really really love to have a motor like this for what they do that would allow them to run with more power at higher speeds without using the larger pulley diameters (this would actually make the whole machine run quieter and be easier on the bearings). I would love to do a straight "trade" with anybody that has a 1 horse standard motor. Motor runs great, pulleys are straight and true, switch is in good working order.
