Description: Here is a Z Axis I built for my first cnc router I have since built another. This would be great for wood cutting, PCB fab., plastic and such, maybe--maybe light aluminum cutting. The reserve price is about what I paid just for the materials. I believe this part to be very accurate, all parts were made on a Bridgeport Milling Machine. The motor coupling is delrin made by Dumpstercnc and has 1/2"-10 2 Start threads on one end and 1/4" on the other end for a 1/4" motor shaft. The screw is a precision acme lead screw from McMaster Carr. This whole assemble has only been used a few times and works well. The aluminum frames are 1/2" thick and 4" wide. The linear bearings are from VBX and ride smooth. The nut and threaded stop collar are also from dumpstercnc and the nut is antibacklash. This comes complete with the face plate attached and router mounts. The router mounts are for a standard 3 1/2" round base, I use a porter cable. It also comes with a base for a drill attachment. The drill is not included but I will sell it to the winning bidder for $60 extra, It's brand new and only been used a few times to make the new CNC router. The amount of travel is 5 3/8", this is how far the Z axis can travel, so basically the cutting depth. The router attachment comes with a wood plate to attach a vacuum hose. Everything is held together with either screws or set screws. Very strong. The Z axis mounted originally to Igus linear slides. There are mounting holes for 2 igus slides. I am also selling those separately to the anyone, but I will give first dibs to the winner of the auction for $85, which is considerable less than I paid, there are 2 slides and 2 rails each 26 1/2" long and fit this Z axis. If you don't want the rails the Z axis can be drilled to fit yours. I also fitted a upper limit switch and is in place. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. I'd prefer paypal, but will discuss options ahead of time with those who contact me. Shipping will be what I pay and will come from 94010
