Description: Made in USA by 3D Systems, Inc., of Valencia, California.

3D Systems, Actua 2100 Model

3D Systems manufactures rapid product development systems that enable users to move from concept models to finished parts faster, at lower cost and at higher quality than traditional methods.

3D's equipment fabricates solid objects using input from CAD/CAM/CAE systems through the patented technologies of stereolithography for industrial applications and multi-jet modeling for the design office. Major applications include concept modeling, rapid prototyping and rapid tooling for products in a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, medical, electronic and consumer product industries.

3D Printing or Modeling takes digital input from three-dimensional data and creates solid, three-dimensional parts through an additive, layer-by-layer process. Easy to use, and compact for the office, 3D Printing or Modeling is used extensively by designers, engineers and hobbyists for concept development and product design to accelerate the design process and reduce the time to market. Using the same process 3D Systems Users are also creating actual end-use parts and objects such as fittings, crafts, jewelry and many others.

With one of the 3D printers or modelers, you have a real tool for the development of concept models early in the design process. You and your team can explore multiple concepts quickly and affordably to review with members of your design team – allowing for quality feedback, quickly and efficiently.

The ability to eliminate days and weeks from the product design process means significant savings of resources and the ability to get your product to market faster. In fact, you can design and ‘print’ a new product concept in hours and have it in the hands of a ‘focus group’ the same day, allowing for rapid design improvements and immediate customer input.

With a wide variety of robust, thermally stable material options, 3D Systems Printing solutions generate models that are tough enough to be used as working parts. This enables you to perform testing for form, fit and function right from your office.

In fact, 3D Systems' 3D Printers offer the highest level of accuracy and precision than any other 3D printers on the market today. With an extremely smooth surface finish, models rarely need to be sanded but they can stand up to a variety of other secondary processes; they can be painted, drilled, tapped and machined.

The modelers allow you to create and print real parts direct from your desktop or office. Don't let the fine feature detail and super smooth surface finish fool you, these parts are ready to go to work.

Your parts are custom made for end-use applications. Get out in front of your new product design, packaging or tooling requirements, and deliver real parts, real time, with a personal, professional or production 3D printer from 3D Systems!

Master patterns and molds are used as short term or disposable tools in low-volume production. Make 100% RealWax patterns that are designed to perform like injected wax patterns in lost-wax casting processes.

Or leverage the 3D printers to produce foundry casting patterns or molds. When your application calls for casting patterns or molds for anything from jewelry, medical instruments and devices to mechanical parts or forming operations, 3D Systems has you covered with Professional and Production 3D Printing Systems.

NOTES:

The unit was acquired from a university. The printer powers up (see pic). The build material tank is almost full with ThermoJet wax. I don't know how to use it and I need to get it out of my space now so I have priced it for a quick sale. I understand it was $60,000 new. The item must be either picked up or shipped freight (you will pay for shipping). I can assist in crating and getting shipping quotes.
