A very economical introduction into CNC, This is a well built unit manufactured by 3D Routers Inc. with features found in higher priced machines including steel and aluminum construction and V-Roller guide system.

Machine Specifications.

·         The CNC router specifically described is a moving gantry unit which is capable
of coordinated 3-axis movement.

·         Overall tolerance is /-.003", Repeatability is /-.001", Resolution = .00015".

·         Maximum feed rate is 300 inches per minute.

·         X axis and Z axis ways are Bishop Wisecarver V-rollers and guides.

·         The gantry slide and Z axis assembly is machined from aluminum.

·         Frame is built from 8020 Inc. T-Slot Aluminum Extrusion

·         Drive:  Precision acme lead screws with wear compensating preloaded anti-backlash nuts.  Anti-backlash nuts have an internal spring which maintains a tight thread fit when threads begin to wear.  

CNC Controller
All I/O including the AC outlets are controlled through M codes. For example your spindle and dust collection system can be powered through the 115Volt AC Outlets and turned ON or OFF using M codes in your control program. The stepper motors and I/O connect with high quality, pluggable screw terminals. Carrier board, drivers plug into phoenix connectors. You can add a 4th axis just by plugging in the driver, no wiring is required.

The stepper motor controller included with this unit consists of
(3) stepper motor driver outputs and (3) Inputs for limit switches.
(1) 25 amp relay output for 115 Vac router spindle.
(1) 25 amp relay output for a shop vac.
an emergency stop input and power supply input.
Power supply output is 18Vdc / 10 Amps.

Enclosure:

·         The Enclosure is included at no extra charge.  This is a free standing wood enclosure that was added to reduce noise levels during operation.  2 access windows are easily opened and/or removed to position the work during set up.  The enclosure is in no way connected to the machine with the exception of a Shop-Vac override switch which was added in order to turn the ShopVac on when the router was not in use.  (Shop-Vac is Not included)
