Up for sale is a CNC micro-mill based on the Sieg X1 capable of machining wood, plastics and soft metals (aluminum, brass, etc).  I converted it several years ago and have used it on and off, but now have a much large machine and don't need this mill.   I'm putting it up for sale so someone else can enjoy it.   It's fully debugged, runs out of the box although you will need to know what you are doing.   Converted with a CNCfusion kit, Keling steppers and a HobbyCNC board.   It also has a seperate relay board with spindle on/off, as well as a spindle belt drive.   The ways have been retrofitted with brass gibs and an oiling system (currently non-functional).   The whole machine has very little backlash and has been heavily reinforced with polymer concrete and steel reinforcing rods so it's much, much stiffer than a standard machine of this size.   It will out cut any Taig or Sherline machine.

Comes complete with control PC (2Ghz Dell w/LCD, keyboard & mouse) and a full enclosure for the electronics.   The enclosure has a mechanical E-stop and an on/off switch, as well as plugs for all axes and the spindle.

Asking $2000 for the mill including set of carbide end mills from 1/8 to 3/8ths, full set of collets and holddown kit.   Mill is located in San Francisco Bay Area, will deliver within 75 miles of 94080 or you can pickup from my shop.  If further, buyer pays actual shipping (likely 3 to 4 boxes/pallets - weight is probably around 180 lbs total).
